This Parenting Journey will Demand your Greatest Courage and Faith: FindingStrength to Stand Strong in the Role of an Advocate & Priest

Standing in the gap perseveringly, prevailingly and persistently through pain and pitfalls on our journey of mediating for our children will challenge you to your wits end. Holding forth on the promises of God and promoting the will of God for our children’s prosperity is a mandate, and an assignment for all parents. There’s a position God has given us as priests to have the right to call on Him, to promote their spiritual prosperity and the will of God in their lives in these challenging times.

Leaning on our professional knowledge falls short and lame when confronted with spiritual warfare. Because we are not contending with flesh and blood over our generations therefore all the wisdom of this world will fails. We need the supernatural power of God in standing in the gap for our children and other loved ones.

Parenting is a lifelong assignment, though it’s at different stages and generations, it is the greatest responsibility God has given man. Gen 18vs19.God is the God of generations. Mat 22vs32. He expects us to intercede and mediate for our children and theirs and the next generations.

Jesus priesthood gave us an example to follow as mediators. Rev1vs6. The role of a priest is a go-between one. Priesthood gives us authority to prophesy and speak positivity, health, prosperity and life over your child even from conception.

Being a priest is hard work, you have to study the scriptures and know what the Word says for every case you are dealing with. You have to wait and hear from God, for revelational knowledge, direction and guidance and there’s also a place of consistency in fasting and prayers. You can’t give what you don’t have, be prepared, know the Word of God.

Send your children to Christian camps for training .This will concretize their faith as they see other young people walk in the demonstration of the things of God.

Keep prevailing through adversities, having done all, stand as priests and never give up, therein lies your victory over the evil one.

Teach your children to give to you and stand in the gap for you also. It is pertinent to pass down to your kids the example of them praying, interceding and mediating for you, your spouse and their siblings from an early age. And if this is not feasible any longer, ask them to pray for you and do things for you that benefits you.

In 1 Peter2vs9, Rev5vs10 priesthood is a call both to men and women, and Sisters whom for one reason or another have no father or husband to take this role over them or their children should know that they are very qualified to be priests.

Sisters, we are in a spiritual war with the enemy over the soul and destiny of our children/loved ones. Be encouraged to persevere, prevail and never give up interceding over that tough situation your child, friend or family member is going through. If you don’t throw in the towel, you will resist and weary the devil to surrender.

Mediating for our children and others is the most selfless act we can think of which is Christ like. The Father desires this, it helps us to put total control of the situations in His hands and not to overwhelm ourselves with worry and anxiety.

God loves and desire our time with Him in the place of intercession, our transformation comes from there. As we stay in the presence of God in intercessory prayers, our minds and views are shaped to conform to His.

Being faithful in our priestly roles usher us into supernatural experiences such as salvation, miracles, healings, and deliverances, which deepens our faith and that of others around us.
